Brief
We were engaged by Ngā Hapū e Toru; Ngāti Hurunga Te Rangi, Ngāti Taeotu, and Ngāti Te Kahu o Ngāti Whakaue Hapū Trust to produce three short-form digital storytelling videos. Each video, 60–120 seconds in length, was designed to weave together simple animation, illustration, graphic elements, and audio to share key hapū narratives connected to their whenua and tūpuna
Project
The scope required creative development, animation production, and project management, with regular feedback cycles and hui built into the process to ensure cultural accuracy and alignment with the hapū vision. All content created remains the intellectual property of the client.
Ancestral Storytelling
The series came together as a compelling body of work, giving rangatahi stories a clear, engaging, and visually powerful presence.
Full creative delivery
We provided end-to-end creative delivery across storyboarding, illustration, asset development, animation, video editing, and project management, guiding the project from concept through to completion.
