Brief
We partnered with the Peka Lands Trust Board to design and deliver a detailed, visually accurate 3D model of the Peka Industrial Park. This large-scale project was developed to showcase the site for marketing and sales purposes, highlighting both its current layout and its potential for future development and expansion. Our mahi included a full Digital Elevation Model (DEM) site map, and 3D asset development to ensure the model accurately reflected the whenua and its features. We integrated advanced lighting and shadow effects to present the site’s architectural concepts and landscaping in realistic detail.
Project
The scope required creative development, animation production, and project management, with regular feedback cycles and hui built into the process to ensure cultural accuracy and alignment with the hapū vision. All content created remains the intellectual property of the client.
Site analysis and digital mapping
Our team carried out an in-depth site analysis, supported by high-quality aerial photography and the creation of a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) to accurately map the whenua. This gave the project a strong technical foundation and ensured the model was grounded in the physical realities of the site.
3D modelling and environmental design
Using Unreal Engine, we developed and integrated 3D assets, architectural concepts, and landscaping into a realistic and interactive model. Dynamic lighting and shadow effects were also incorporated to simulate real-world conditions and present proposed buildings, layouts, and landscape features in the most effective way.
Collaboration and refinement
Throughout the process, we shared preliminary samples and worked through iterative feedback cycles to keep the Trust informed, involved, and able to shape the direction of the project at every stage.
