Brief
To establish the Digital Natives Academy (DNA) as a kaupapa Māori non-profit, the organisation required a strong digital foundation, including a professional, web-compliant website, a clear digital strategy, tailored content, imagery, and collateral that reflected both its kaupapa and its community-facing vision. We led this process end-to-end, designing and developing DNA’s online presence, setting up and managing its social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram), and creating a consistent communications framework. By project-leading the development of all content, imagery, book development and marketing collateral, we ensured DNA could connect authentically with whānau, funders, and stakeholders. Support is provided in an ongoing basis.
Project
DNA delivers after-school classes, holiday programmes, workshops, and wānanga that guide tamariki, rangatahi, pakeke, and kaumātua to explore digital spaces in a safe and empowering way. Our mahi enhances this kaupapa by providing the digital tools, storytelling strategies, and design expertise needed to amplify DNA’s reach and impact. By ensuring their communications are engaging, accessible, and whānau-friendly, we help DNA inspire learners to create, transform, and develop their own digital tools.
DNA’s vision is to provide whānau with access to safe online, mobile, immersive, and interactive tools that encourage creativity, collaboration, and systematic thinking. We supported this vision by embedding kaupapa Māori design principles and future-focused digital strategies into every aspect of DNA’s presence, enabling the academy to prepare rangatahi and whānau for opportunities in the tech sector specifically, and the digital future more broadly.
