Brief
Ngāti Manawa wanted to share the stories of their rangatira in a way that felt engaging, accessible, and grounded in their whakapapa and whenua. The aim was to create a storytelling series that could connect with their mokopuna, whānau and wider audiences through a strong visual narrative approach.
Project
Native Industries is developing a 10-episode 2D animated series that brings these stories to life through thoughtful, culturally grounded storytelling. Our work covered the full creative pipeline, from storyboarding and asset development through to illustration, animation, video editing, and overall project management. The result was a cohesive series designed to communicate each story with clarity, warmth, and visual impact.
